Traumraum

Wax ist the prominent material in this scenographic interpretation of the lyrical text Bildbeschreibung from Heiner Müller. The chracteristics of wax transmit the poetic intention. The material is almost fluid yet solid - a balanced behavior between two conditions. And it has specific haptics and aesthetics. The textile patterns are dipped in the liquid warm wax and cure after cooling. These elements are carried by a structure which simulates the geometrical shape of a foam. The visitor can modify the sound that comes from inside the cube through gestures. A video projection to all sides lets the structure visually transform. The interactive scenography is a student cooperation project between stage design and product design. It is decorated with the materialPREIS 2015.
